I want to earn an undergraduate degree and major in agriculture business management and minor in political science. My long-term goal is to attend the University of Florida for Law School and earn an Agricultural law degree.

National American Jr. Teen
Gabreilla Perez-Ortega
Hometown: Pembroke Pines, FL
Age: 15
Height: 5’3
What do you want to accomplish this year as a national titleholder:
During my reign, I have many goals that I plan to achieve. I would like to spread awareness for congenital birth defects and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, two very under researched fields in medicine, and two conditions that I live with. I would also like to promote my platform and volunteering group, UNDEFINED: Empowering Children, to help spread kindness and encouragement to children everywhere who may be going through difficult circumstances.
If you could use one word to describe yourself, what would it be:
The one word I would use to describe myself is perseverant. I have been through 13 major hip surgeries and have been bedridden for a year and a half. However, despite these obstacles, I haven’t let anything stop me! This is why, throughout my reign, I will spread the message that Confidence is Power, and to always follow your dreams.
What are your plans and goals for the future:
In the future, I plan on becoming a pediatric orthopedic surgeon and helping children like myself lead better, more fulfilling lives. I will also be starting a foundation, in which we will open up free and low-cost orthopedic centers in impoverished areas with high rates of congenital skeletal deformities. In university, I plan on majoring in Pre-Medicine and minoring in Music, specifically studying the violin.
What is your favorite thing to do:
Some of my favorite things to do is to volunteer at the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, as both the founder of Music Mondays, a program in which we host music-themed workshops and perform small concerts for the patients, and also as a volunteer with the JDCH Foundation. I am an artist, I love to play my violin and piano; I have been playing since I was very young and music has always been a passion of mine. I also love to make visual art, such as sketches and oil paintings, and I find that expressing emotions through art, whether it be music or visual arts, is one of the most powerful forms of communication.

National American collegiate
Safiyya Saddique
Hometown: Jacksonville, FL
Age; 18
Height: 5’7”
Q: What do you want to accomplish this year as Miss National American Collegiate?
A: This year, my goal is to inspire others to embrace the joy of learning and to make mindful choices in all aspects of life. My platform centers around two causes I deeply care about: promoting literacy and raising awareness about reckless driving prevention. I believe education is the foundation for a better future, and by fostering a love for reading, we empower individuals to unlock their full potential. On the road, mindfulness and safety are non-negotiable—we all have a responsibility to look out for one another. As Miss National American Collegiate, I’m excited to combine my passions and leave a lasting impact on our community.
Q: If you could use one word to describe yourself, what would it be?
A: I would say resilient. Life isn’t without its challenges, but I’ve learned that resilience isn’t just about bouncing back—it’s about growing stronger with every step forward. Whether it’s juggling responsibilities or pursuing my passions, I embrace every moment as an opportunity to learn and thrive. My faith and determination remind me that every obstacle is a stepping stone toward something greater.
Q: What are your plans and goals for your future?
A: My ultimate goal is to continue making a difference in the lives of others, whether it’s through my advocacy for literacy or promoting safer driving practices. I’m also working toward completing my degree and using my education to further my mission of creating positive change. Looking ahead, I hope to develop programs that provide resources for both literacy and road safety awareness, ensuring that these messages reach people of all ages and backgrounds.
Q: What is your favorite thing to do?
A: I absolutely love being a part of my choir! There’s something so magical about harmonizing with others and creating music that speaks to the soul. Music has this incredible way of bringing people together, and it’s where I find peace and joy. When I’m not singing, you’ll often find me curled up with a great book—there’s nothing quite like getting lost in a story and discovering new perspectives through the pages.
